Hey chip I was seeing if you could help me I'm looking for a old sci-fi short story I came across years ago don't remember the name of it but it was about a bunch of people who gets stuck in a building that travels through time I think it was written in the 50s but I'm not sure do you know what I'm talking about? I had this on tape as well...but this is not from 1942, there are references to the war in the past tense during the Camel commercial and at the end, plus DiMaggio's foot operation was in 1947, so this is likely from that year. [Edit: this was obviously taken from that same cassette....]

The way this is being read, with odd halting every few words, like it's WIlliam Shatner is extremely annoying. Is it just me who hears it?

Great story. This reader gets on my nerves though. Mostly his voice for Mercatroid, and for mispronouncing Maya, Yucatan, and Tenochtitlan

Love this book! A real discovery! As I listen, I am visualising it as a lavish 1950s technicolor sci-fi film (complete with all the automobiles, the clothing, the sci-fi conventions and the stereotypes of the early 1950s). At any rate, it certainly should have been made into a film! Thanks!
